SUNT Training Institute is in the business of helping you move into the youth ministry of your choice. The Training Institute has been set up for people seeking training and accreditation whether or not their intention is to serve with Scripture Union in NT or other agencies.

In particular, in partnership with SU QLD’s YMIS (Youth Ministry Internship Scheme), SUNT Training Institute offers a Certificate IV in Youth Work under the Community Services Training Package, and The Diploma of Youth Work (CHC50502) aimed at training School Chaplains for ministry with children and young people in NT State schools.

YMIS training has a Christian emphasis and integrity but with some increased focus in some areas, especially in legal issues and responding to the specific needs of young people at risk. The course is an exciting way to learn about your own abilities to serve God and the community and make life-long friendships along the way.

YMIS equips people to become youth workers in secular, School and Church-run workplaces, and is offered in external online mode. All courses are Federal Govt accredited and can attract Govt assistance.
