SUPAServe

What Is SUPAServe?

‘SUPAServe’ is a unique ministry program developed within Scripture Union to incorporate training young people for mission, and serving the community.

The two key ingredients that bring a SUPAserve to life are:

1. Working closely with the local churches to motivate, train and support Christians in Years 9 - 12 to be active participants in introducing primary aged children to Jesus, the Bible and the local Church.

 2. Running a KidsGames program as an outreach to primary school children in your community. ‘SUPA’ (Scripture Union Primary Age) is Scripture Union’s ministry to primary school

 What is KidsGames?

KidsGames is a global initiative for children aged 6 - 14 operating in over 150 countries.

The multi-day, multi-team program combines sports, games, the Bible, community partnership,

creativity and fun. Scripture Union all over Australia has a long history of partnering with the

KidsGames initiative to serve regional communities, connect with local churches, and share

the hope of Jesus with young people. Check out www.kidsgames.com for more information.

How Can you be a part of SUPAServe?

Great question! If you’re a student in Year 9 - 12, you are invited to be a part of the SUPAserve Darwin team

You will be trained in:

• Setting up the physical environment

• Preparing & Leading (with supervision) a Bible study for a small group of primary students

• Being a part of the organisation and implementation of the daily activities

• Evaluating and preparing each day’s program

You will be working alongside people you’ve never met from other churches in town, and a small team of emerging leaders travelling up from Scripture Union NSW. It’s a great way to make new friends and enjoy a special sense of community.

What is the timeline for each day?

KidsGames will be held at Marrara Christian College

 7.30am: Team Devotions / 7.45am: Set up Site / 8.30am: SUPAserve Program / 1.00pm: Pack up

1.30pm: Lunch & evaluation/ 3.00pm: back to home or billets.
